oh what fleeting moments I should capture, oh what memories I should still possess

What I see is a quaint little restaurant courtyard, cozy and quiet – that I can’t get to. What I think is, were these gates open to me, I probably wouldn’t have as much desire to get in.

There are two tragedies in life.

One is not to get your heart’s desire.

The other is to get it.

  1. Same here! If those gates were open, I probably wouldn’t be interested. Having them closed makes me want to find out why, and what kind of place it is. It’s more mysterious with closed gates!

    • Definitely more mysterious! I’m like a curious cat – if I’m not supposed to get into it or be there or see it, then I am just dying to do those things.

I really love all of your pictures of Fredericksburg! I grew up just outside of Fredericksburg (and still have some family in the area), so these photos bring back some wonderful memories. Beautiful work!
